dav5 review (likes and dislikes)

i guess some of you already know about dav5. the new deviantART face will be.

good news for you Firefox users, you can have 20 minutes in the new DA layout by clicking dav5 Super Secret Mode! link at the WCU page.

i have tried, and here's my review. also some screenshots to those who aren't firefox users.

LIKES:

1. Gallery » new tabs
aside from the bg color that's too bright, i think the settings are pretty cool. no page re-upload needed when we switched tabs.



2. Who's Online » pretty cool although it's pretty useless XD
now we can always check who's online on our friends lis anytime cos it's placed on the top bar. the person who's online is placed on top of the list.



3. Browsing » now it's easier.
we can select the category we want to browse and it'll slide into subcategories. pretty cool feature ^^




DISLIKES:

1. Links » bg color + underlined links
besides the background colors are now too bright, the underlined links they make the description page looks more clutter >_< and now there's no different between the real underlined text and links.



2. Comments section » big text + no date
the text are too big, imo (mind i set my computer resolution at 1280x1024), not convinient to read and it's lost the date and time. i like those



3. DA's Frontpage » the vertical settings
i like em horizontal better. easier to read.



4. deviantWATCH » ugly turquois colored text
UNREADABLE against the color of the bar



5. User's Frontpage » too bright bg color
not too eye friendly and i guess we no longer can submit PNG images with white outlines on transparent bg anymore if this changes is approved T_T
