Mouse users can use this technique too only remember to use low opacity for shading. and set the Shape Dynamic Control to "Fade". Kinda hard to do, but still do-able.

NOTE: this technique can't be used on Black and/or White base color because the brush modes like multiply and screen wouldn't take any effect on black. better use middle color as the base color for this technique.
